It's very fun, you won't find a more loyal dog. Do that until 7-8 months and then get them out to the real woods. The tail technique is helpful and it's also helpful to start them in an area like a neighborhood where the squirrels will surely be moving since they're used to people milling about. Start them as pups letting them chase tails around, some even trap squirrels but I didn't go that far because of you have a good breeder who breeds proven dogs, it's all in the genes.
